The game

Mirassol was better in the first half. Right away, Alesson was thrown to the bottom, stopped and played backwards. Denílson dominated at the edge of the area and hit Fábio’s low right corner, close to the post.

At 18, Reinaldo raised the ball in the area, Alesson won it high and headed it. The ball hit Fábio’s chest, who palmed it and then held it.

In stoppage time, Soteldo went deep and crossed for John Kennedy. The attacker headed, the ball hit Samuel Xavier’s foot marked by Reinaldo. The rebound fell to the center forward who tried to clear it and was disarmed. The referee awarded a penalty for a pull by Reinaldo on Samuel Xavier, but the VAR was activated and canceled.
