The suspect in a shooting attack near the White House died this Saturday (23). The information was confirmed by the Secret Service. The shots, which took place on 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, left two injured, as determined by the Young Pan. Both were in serious condition in hospital. One was the suspect who died and the other was a person who was passing by at the time of the shooting.
In a statement, the Secret Service stated: “Shortly after 6:00 pm on Saturday, an individual in the area of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue pulled a gun from his purse and began shooting.” According to Fox News, at least 30 shots were heard. The Secret Service said it returned fire and struck the suspect “who was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.” As determined by Young Pana passerby was also injured and taken to the hospital in serious condition. There is still no information about the other victim.
The incident remains under investigation and additional information will be released as it becomes available, the Secret Service said.

Minutes before the incident, the Republican, who is doing well, was negotiating an agreement with Iran. In a publication made on Truth Social, a few minutes before the incident, the president had informed that an “agreement has been extensively negotiated, awaiting finalization, between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran and several other countries”, wrote Trump, adding that he spoke with the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the conversation was also very productive.
Shots at event with Trump
The episode comes less than a month after an event with the President of the United States was the target of gunfire at a hotel in Washington. At the time, Cole Tomas Allen, 31, the gunman, was arrested and charged with attempting to assassinate Trump. It was the first time that Trump participated in the meeting as US president.
