There is no incentive to leave Bolsa Família, says Luciano Huck

The presenter in an interview at the 5th Esfera Forum stated that families wanted shortcuts to stay on the program forever

The television presenter said this Saturday (May 23, 2026) that the inefficiency of public management creates a shortage of opportunities for viable social mobility. For him, there is a lack of incentives for a family to exit the Bolsa Família program. Huck participated in , promoted by , in Guarujá (SP).

When mentioning the city Senhor do Bonfim (BA), with an estimate of more than 13,000 families benefiting, the presenter said that “By concentrating 56% of your economy on Bolsa Família, you don’t generate any incentive for them to leave. In fact, they wanted a lot of shortcuts to stay in the program ad aeternum [para sempre]”.

Huck stated that the inefficiency of public management is the biggest factor in the lack of opportunities for the population. And that entrepreneurship is seen as a way to escape the “Suffering.”

Welfare State
