Trump assures that the details of a peace agreement with Iran will be announced “soon” and affirms that it is “practically closed”
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has stated that there is a “practically closed” text for a peace agreement with Iran and that “the final aspects and details are currently being discussed and will be announced shortly,” as he wrote on his social network, Truth Social. In this message, Trump has detailed that the agreement would reopen the Strait of Hormuz, a key sea lane whose closure has disrupted global energy markets since the United States and Israel launched war against Iran in February. He has not detailed what other elements the pact would include.
However, the Fars news agency, linked to the Iranian regime, has reported that the agreement would allow Iran to manage the strait and has described Trump’s claim about its reopening as “incompatible with reality.” (Reuters)
