The Minister of Investments put it bluntly: THIS is what he thinks about disagreements in the coalition and conflicts with Danko!

The coalition is still cohesive, despite disagreements between Smer-SD and SNS. This was announced by the Minister of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization Samuel Migaľ (independent) in the Sunday talk show Politika 24 on Joj 24. He believes that this coalition will last until the next parliamentary elections. “It will be important to adopt the state budget,” he said.

He will not be drawn into the dispute between SNS chairman Andrej Danko and Environment Minister Tomáš Tarab (SNS nominee). Taraba considers Migaľ “one of the most capable ministers of the current government”. According to him, it is important that internal party problems are not transferred to the people. The fact that there is talk about the reconstruction of the government coalition is considered by the minister to be “corridor talk”. He claims that it is a moot question at the moment.

He admitted that he is ready to give up his position as Minister of Investments even before the municipal elections, in which he wants to run for president of the Prešov self-governing region. He would do so if his party duties required it. At the same time, in the debate, he denied that he was using his position as Minister of Investments for the election campaign. Migaľ expects that the prime minister of the SR Robert Fico (Smer-SD) will support his candidacy for the chairman of the Prešov region in the coming weeks.

“We talked about it,” he admitted. In the case of his success in the municipal elections, the minister declared that he is “not attached” to the parliamentary mandate either. He confirmed that the department had set up an office for him in the east of the country so that he could work there and perform his ministerial duties. According to him, it is important for the minister to work from the region and thus help people. “I do not regret becoming a minister. It is a huge challenge for me,” he added that he would like to use his experience in the region.

At Monday’s (May 25) coalition council, which is also supposed to deal with pro-growth measures, he wants to ask why some measures from their workshop were not included in the package. He pointed to investment visas, for example. “We consider it a mistake, it is very quickly earned money for the country, which we can use for other social measures,” he added. The Minister of Investments, Regional Development and Informatization did not say who should become the governor of the National Bank of Slovakia. “It is up to the agreement of Smer-SD and Hlas-SD,” he concluded.
