Madrid – Tens of thousands of people demonstrated in Madrid against high rents and housing shortages. Sunday’s protest march in the Spanish capital was under the motto “Housing is costing us our lives – let’s lower prices.” The organizers put the number of participants at more than 100,000, while a government representative said there were an estimated 23,000 demonstrators.
