The directories of the (Liberal Party) and of the indicated GO7 consultancy, whose partner is the film producer (the underdog, in English), to work in electoral campaigns in São Paulo, according to candidates.
GO7 received R$250,000 to communicate five candidacies since 2020, including that of the federal deputy (PL-SP). He was the only one elected.
The company belongs to Karina Ferreira da Gama, who is also managing partner of , producer of the film Dark Horse, about Jair Bolsonaro (PL). The revelation of dialogues in which the senator (PL) asked the then owner of Banco Master for money for the film opened a crisis in the parliamentarian’s pre-campaign.
According to Bianca Fanti, who ran for councilor of (SP) in the 2024 elections for the PL, GO7 was nominated by the PL directory for her campaign. Patrícia Alonso, who ran for the same position in the capital of São Paulo for the Republicans in 2020, says that the party ran the campaign with the company and that it had little management in relation to expenses.
Contacted by email, message and her press office, Karina did not respond to the report’s questions.
The PL also did not return, after being contacted via the press office. The Republicans of São Paulo stated that they had no information on the topic.
Bianca Fanti’s campaign, known as Bibi Fanti, paid R$30,000 to GO7. In Patrícia Alonso’s candidacy, R$13,000 was transferred to Karina’s company for communication consultancy services.
The largest amount (R$ 141 thousand) was passed on to GO7 by the campaign of Lieutenant Manoel Nascimento, former state deputy from , who ran for councilor in the capital of São Paulo in 2024, for the Republicans.
In the 2022 elections, Karina worked for two PL candidates in São Paulo. One of them was from Felipe Carmona, who paid R$13,000 to GO7 in the state deputy election. The other was by Mario Frias, whose campaign donated R$54,000 to the company.
Payments made during the elections to Karina’s companies are listed on the (Superior Electoral Court) website.
Patrícia Alonso states that she had little management in relation to expenses with GO7, but that she liked the work of Karina’s company.
In a statement, the law firm Taveira e Romão, which represents Bibi Fanti, says that there was no prior or personal link between Go7 and the candidate. According to the office, the hiring was legally monitored and complied with the rules of current electoral legislation.
Felipe Carmona said he has known Karina since 2019 and that there was no guidance from the PL regarding her hiring. He also states that, if he becomes a candidate for state deputy this year, he will hire the producer again.
When contacted at 12pm on Thursday (21) by message, the advisors of deputy Mario Frias and former deputy Tenente Nascimento did not respond to the report.
As shown by SheetDespite Flávio, other federal and state parliamentarians have already made transfers to companies and entities linked to Karina. State deputies allocated amendments totaling R$700,000 between 2023 and 2026.
The Instituto Saber Brasil, an NGO whose president is Karina, also received R$2 million in amendments from Mario Frias in 2025, for digital literacy and sports projects.
The Instituto Saber Brasil also signed a contract with the Government of Brazil after winning a public call from the Research Support Foundation in 2023.
The total value of the term initially planned was R$4 million, to support a “maker culture” project in the DF public network. The aim of the project is to allow students to create, repair and modify objects in a laboratory at schools. At the beginning of 2025, there was an addition of R$1 million, totaling R$5 million invested in the contract with ICB.
The project has been underway for two years following complaints from DF teachers, according to a government technical report.
Teachers complain about ICB management, the lack of monitoring by Karina’s NGO in the execution of projects and the lack of feedback from ICB technicians regarding detected problems.
Among the resources purchased with the amount transferred to the NGO were 3D printers. However, according to a report from the technical visits, some of the printers had never been used due to malfunction, without feedback from the ICB technical staff. Teachers also complain about the lack of training in using the printer.
Contacted by email at 11:46 am this Thursday (22), the Federal District government did not respond to the report’s questions.
Saber Brasil also signed a contract with the city council to receive R$108 million to provide Wi-Fi internet in low-income communities.
HAS SheetKarina had stated that the hiring by the city hall took place on a regular basis, without connection with Dark Horse, as well as the resources from parliamentary amendments.
