Let’s Dance Special 11th Annual: The Best of the Best, in which notable personalities from previous years presented themselves again on the dance floor, saw a spectacular end. Zuzana Porubjaková and Matyáš Adamec became the winners based on the audience vote! Ján Koleník and Dominika Rošková finished in second place and on the third Kristián Baran and Eliška Betaková.
Silver finalists of the dance show Ján Koleník and Dominika Rošková spoke after the final in Bratislava’s Incheba for Koktejl.sk with musician Teri Čikoš.
The couple was in a great mood during the last evening and it was clear that they enjoyed the dance. “The finale was probably the most beautiful round of the entire ten rounds of Let’s Dance. There was such an unforced, unadulterated understanding and joy of dancing. And we really said to ourselves that the final is not so much at stake. I was totally convinced that it is not about the trophy, it is about bringing joy and experience to us and the audience. And for the fact that we made it to the final, we want to thank the audience very much,” said Ján Koleník.
The dancer who won the show last year with Kristián Baran also rode his wave of joy. “I agree. Everything is exactly as it should have been. We consider it a great success that we reached the finals and took second place, because this year was very strong, full of extremely talented and hardworking people and personalities. So we managed the personality challenges and we both – I speak for Janko – feel like winners, because we conquered our own… our own Everests and we got up and came, danced a great finale and I’ll never forget that.” explained Dominika Rošková.
In the past, Dominika Rošková danced with the aforementioned Kristián Baran, Richard Autner and Adam Bardy. From the beginning of the show, it was clear that Rošková and Koleník were very similar, and as a dance couple and competition partners, they got along very well. What did she learn from her favorite actor during that time?
“A lot happened to me and he gave me a lot of time with Janko. First of all, from the human side, you are a wonderful person. And actually, the way you look at the world, at nature, at family, is very beautiful and inspiring. Also, your professionalism is very inspiring. I learned a lot, which no media agency would actually give me, but being with Ján Koleník for half a year is actually wonderful,” came the confession from the dancer.
Their bond is extremely strong. “And above all, a dream come true. I danced with Ján Koleník because In my opinion, Jano is the most talented dancer in Slovakia. You’re not a master, hey, but I told you, you’re so talented… He hears music so well, he has such musicality that it also enriched me professionally. I really enjoyed creating with Janko and I enjoyed these final numbers to the fullest. I will miss you” added Rošková honestly.
Koleník has never received such a bow from anyone. And that there really were a lot of them. “Me too. We’ll miss the whole thing. We’ll process it. Tomorrow I’ll sleep well, I’ll say to myself: “And I don’t have to learn or create anything new”, but in three days… In three days I’ll be listening to songs.” added the actor with a smile.
