Paris – Four-time French Open winner Iga Swiatek reached the round of 16 in Paris on Friday. The third-seeded Pole won her third round match against her compatriot Magda Linette 6:4,6:4. The Russian Mirra Andrejewa (No. 8) and the Ukrainian Marta Kostjuk (15) also advanced in two sets each. The Swiss Jil Teichmann managed a surprise with a 6:1,7:5 against Karolina Muchova (10); the Czech only lost to Swiatek in the final in 2023.
