The court of the Provincial Court of Badajoz has decided to withdraw the crime of accepting an illegal appointment from David Sánchez, brother of the President of the Government, for having prescribed, in the trial for the alleged irregularities in the creation and subsequent awarding to the relative of the head of the Executive of a senior management position in the Provincial Council of Badajoz in 2017. The court has also left out the accusation against the former Extremaduran socialist leader Miguel Ángel Gallardo of having intervened in the hiring of Luis Carrero, David Sánchez’s friend. This is how he spoke during this Monday’s session when answering the previous questions raised by accusations and defenses last week. Likewise, the magistrates have rejected the nullity of the investigation proposed by the defenses.
