State deputy Carlos Minc (PSB-RJ) defended that former political colleagues arrested for involvement with the government hand themselves over to the US government.
He mocked the Trump administration’s decision to classify the factions (First Command of the Capital) and CV () as terrorists.
Minc cited deputies Thiego Santos, known as TH Joias, Rodrigo Bacellar and Tiago Rangel. The first two were detained for direct involvement with the Red Command. Rangel was arrested in the same investigation, but in the phase that investigates suspicions of fraud in state contracts.
“It is more difficult to clean up Alerj [Assembleia Legislativa do Rio de Janeiro] than Guanabara Bay”, the deputy told the Panel.
The senator (-RJ) said he asked Trump to classify it to combat organized crime in Brazil.
