Copenhagen – The highly anticipated autopsy of the humpback whale known as “Timmy” on the beach on the Danish island of Anholt began on Thursday afternoon. Experts arrived to examine the whale. Images showed how the team first examined the yellow-brownish carcass closely and made notes. The carcass was then cut open with an elongated knife to release air from the severely bloated animal.
