Brazil’s opponent in the World Cup, Haiti loses to Peru in a friendly

Brazil’s opponent in the World Cup, Haiti lost to Peru, 2-1, this Friday (5), in a pre-World Cup friendly. Wilson Isidor opened the scoring for the Haitians, but the Peruvian team reacted and turned it around with Renzo Garcés and Jairo Vélez, in the final stretch of the match.

This was the last game before the debut in the World Cup, which starts on June 11th. The Haitian team begins its World Cup campaign on Saturday, June 13th, at 10pm (Brasília time), against Scotland.

Peru, in turn, did not qualify for this World Cup due to a poor campaign in the Qualifiers. The Peruvian team finished in 9th place and did not even qualify for the repechage.

Brazil and Haiti face each other on June 19th, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), in Philadelphia, in a game valid for the second round of the group stage of the World Cup.
