The Ministry of Education (MEC) and the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep) extended the registration deadline for Enem 2026 until June 12th, next Friday. With this, those interested gain an extra week to register at the main gateway to free higher education in Brazil.
To register, simply access the Enem Participant Page on the internet and fill in the requested information. For non-exempt students, the deadline to pay the registration fee is June 17th.
The extension does not change the exam application dates, which remains scheduled for the 8th and 15th of November, across the country.
Exemption
Students in the 3rd year of high school in the public education network are entitled to an exemption from the R$85 registration fee for Enem; students who completed their entire secondary education at a public school or as full scholarship holders at a private school and who have an income equal to or less than one and a half minimum wages; and people from low-income families registered in the federal government’s Single Registry (CadÚnico).
Participants in the federal government’s Nest Egg program also meet the requirements for exemption from the registration fee. Regardless of being exempt, the candidate must register for Enem.
Pé-de-Meia students who completed high school in 2026 and participate in the two-day Enem test will receive an additional incentive of R$200.
All the details of Enem 2026 are in the test notice with information about specialized care for people with disabilities, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, diabetics, the elderly or with another specific condition.
Inep also prepared a question and answer section to answer participants’ most common questions. Check it out here.
