Stockholm – The number of operational nuclear weapons is increasing worldwide. This is the conclusion reached in the yearbook published today by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (Sipri). The experts therefore see a decades-long trend towards declining nuclear weapons stocks increasingly at risk. At the same time, the report warns of a nuclear escalation.
