Iran’s petrochemicals are hit by Israel; Tel Aviv intercepts missiles

The Karun petrochemical plant, near the city of Bandar-e-Mahshahr, in southwestern Iran, was hit by an Israeli projectile and had parts of its facilities damaged, the deputy governor responsible for security in Khuzestan province reported on Monday (8), according to the Fars news agency.

The attack on the petrochemical plant this morning was also confirmed by the Israeli Air Force. In a statement on X, the military said that “several targets at the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr” were hit.
