Live broadcasts are a real challenge for moderators and the entire staff. Despite the fact that they try to have everything as well prepared as possible, they often face unexpected situations. Perhaps the most frequent embarrassments of live broadcasts are the moderators’ rants and ramblings. Jockey Alena Stračiaková would also like to forget her mistake.
The blonde is part of the Ranné noviny show and on Thursday (June 4) she appeared in the studio together with her colleagues Ján Mečiar, Erika Barkolova and meteorologist Michal Hazlinger. The moderator prepared a report about an archaeological site in Peru called Taqrachullo. Stračiaková said a few introductory words, but then the pronunciation of one of the seven modern wonders of the world betrayed her.
“Now let’s see what Jano Mečiar has prepared for us. In the Peruvian Andes, archaeologists have discovered an Inca settlement, which, according to experts, could have a similar or even greater significance than Machu Picchu.” said the presenter, immediately getting stuck as she didn’t say the second part of the title correctly, but accidentally came out with a sharp profanity starting with the letter P.
Stračiaková quickly shook herself off and behaved like a professional. Although she had a smile on her face, she finished reading the prepared text and left the floor to her colleague. The embarrassment might have faded quickly, but Barkolová returned to it on Instagram. “I would like to make a video immediately after the broadcast. Janko, how was the broadcast today?” she asked a colleague.
He thought about it and instead of answering, he turned to Stračiaková. “Alena, how was my broadcast today?” he asked her a question. “I don’t know, Machu Picchu is an excellent word,” she said and Mečiar laughed heartily. Barkolová explained to the followers who did not watch the morning show that this is why she was making this video and let the presenter say more.
At first the blonde didn’t want to delve too much into it and added that the name of the place is pronounced “Makču pikču”, but then corrected herself to the correct version “Maču pikču”. “I don’t understand what’s so hard to say about that.” she noted. “Well, what did I say? That Maču hm hm, but K fell out in the second word,” she pounded on herself in the video that you can find at the beginning of the article.
At first, Barkolová covered herself with a talkative face, but then she consoled her colleague that it was normal and it happens. “But you persevered and read it. I almost went mad laughing there,“they don’t hide. “Sure. Well, that’s life, Erika,” Stračiaková responded to her confession. Erika then also poured ashes on her head, as she said “Tuaret’s” syndrome instead of Tourette’s syndrome three times during the live broadcast.
