A Brazilian tourist was involved in a high-risk moment at Iguaçu Falls when he jumped into an area close to the waters of the waterfall to retrieve a cell phone that had fallen.
The images, captured by other visitors, show the man hanging from the pedestrian bridge before climbing down to try to reach the device. Shortly afterwards, he returned to the tourist route, faced with the apprehensive gaze of those watching the scene.
Authorities remind you that it is expressly prohibited to go beyond security barriers, whether to take photos or recover lost objects. In these cases, the correct procedure is to contact the park teams, who assess, together with the firefighters, whether there is a safe way to recover the object.
The park administration revealed that employees intervened immediately as soon as they became aware of the situation, alerting the visitor to the risks of his behavior and accompanying him until he left the enclosure.
