The MEC (Ministry of Education) published this Monday (8) the notice for higher education institutions to join the Fies (Student Financing Fund) selection process. The guidelines refer to the second half of 2026 and all necessary procedures must be carried out by June 15th, through SisFies (Fies Computerized System).
For each course, shift and place where vacancies are offered, the sponsors must specify the values per semester that make up the training, in addition to how the values will be adjusted throughout the financed course. Offer proposals must also be sent, considering a minimum of six vacancies per training.
The participation term must be signed electronically by the legal representative of the sponsor, using the electronic signature available in the module. To issue the term, information from the e-MEC Registry will be used, and the maintainers are responsible for ensuring the regularity of the information contained therein, as well as compatibility with the information present in FiesOferta, for issuing the document.
In this edition, the results of the (National Medical Training Assessment Examination) of 2025 will be considered, according to the regulatory ordinance published by the MEC in March this year. Institutions whose results corresponded to low grades and proficiency rates below expectations are prevented from offering new places.
