Asaas, a financial and operational platform for companies, announces this Tuesday, the 9th, its second acquisition of the year — and largest in history — for R$150 million. Helena CRM, an acquired company, operates in the conversational CRM category, with a solution built for operation within WhatsApp and which ‘covers the entire sales journey, including pre and post’, according to a press release.
The transaction takes place at a time of accelerated growth for the company, which recorded a 234% increase in net profit in 2025 and is working to reach the target of R$1 billion in revenue in 2026. This growth did not come alone: it is part of a strategy and was accelerated by fundraising that totaled more than R$1 billion with investors such as Vivo Ventures, BOND Capital and SoftBank. Another more than R$170 million was raised to finance receivables from SMEs.
Founded by two brothers in Santa Catarina, Piero and Diego Contezini, the company designed a plan to build a complete Artificial Intelligence ecosystem for SMEs, which supports companies from the beginning to the end of the sales journey through the use of autonomous agents. And this acquisition is part of the project.

With the purchase, the company will be able to connect its financial payment and collections solutions to an autonomous agentic CRM layer, “entering earlier and earlier into the main process of small businesses, which is the generation of demand and revenue”, says Piero Contezini, Chairman and Co-Founder of Asaas. And he adds: “In practice, the client will be able to completely automate their sales process, from lead generation to billing, using the most modern conversational models already available on the Helena platform.”

Market timing
The acquisition occurs at a time when WhatsApp is consolidating as one of the main relationship channels between SMEs and customers in Brazil. According to data from the Whatsapp Consumer Behavior report, 89% of consumers use the tool to speak to companies and 67% consider personalized service as the main motivation for purchasing through the app, reinforcing the role of the channel not only as a service, but as an environment for conversion and loyalty.
Continues after advertising
The acquired company will continue to operate independently as a subsidiary of Asaas until the end of 2028, maintaining its own structure and new growth strategies combined with partners. Full integration is scheduled for the end of 2029, when the areas migrate into Asaas and the operation starts to function in a unified manner.
This is the fifth acquisition in Asaas’ history and the second in 2026. At the beginning of the year, the company debuted in the insurance market with the acquisition of Mutuus and, in previous cycles, expanded the portfolio with Base ERP, CodeMoney and Nexinvoice.
From Zero to Top
Far from the big capitals, in Joinville, Santa Catarina, brothers Diego and Piero Contezini created a technology giant: Asaas. This story is the subject of the most recent episode of podcasts From Zero to Top, which tells the stories of the men and women behind the great companies in Brazil.
In the interview, Diego tells how the duo identified a simple pain: small companies were unable to charge customers easily. What started as almost failed software became one of the fastest growing fintechs in Brazil, with 100% remote operation, billion-dollar profits and investors from Silicon Valley, in California.
