An operation carried out by Gaeco (Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime) of the MPSP (Public Ministry of São Paulo) this Tuesday (9) was targets public agents suspected of links with members of the PCC (First Command of the Capital) and of participation in actions that would have favored the criminal organization.
Among those arrested are a former intern at the Public Ministry itself, the head of investigators at Dise (Narcotics Investigations Station) in Campinas and a former Civil Police investigator.
The investigations also mention a criminal police officer as a member of the group being investigated, but the agent was not subject to an arrest warrant.
Named , the action is an offshoot of the ‘Ready Response’ and ‘Off White’ operations, which investigate a criminal group suspected of planning an attack against prosecutor Amauri Silveira Filhomember of Gaeco de Campinas, in the interior of São Paulo.
According to the Public Ministry, the investigations identified possible cases of corruption, violation of functional secrecy, extortion and attempted infiltration by members of the faction within the Public Ministry itself.
In all, 10 search and seizure warrants and three temporary arrest warrants were executed in the cities of Campinas and Cardoso, both in São Paulo.
Chief of researchers at Dise de Campinas
One of the main focuses of the investigation involves the head of investigators at Dise (Narcotics Investigations Station) in Campinas.
According to Gaeco, one of the suspects identified as responsible for putting into practice the plan to kill the prosecutor met with the police officer about a week before the launch of Operation Pronta Responsein August 2025.
During the investigations, prosecutors found videos that would record the meeting between the two investigated. The suspicion is that privileged and sensitive information related to the operation has been passed on member of the criminal organization.

Former Public Prosecutor’s Office intern
Another central character in the investigations is a ex- from the Public Ministry itself.
According to Gaeco, he would have deliberately infiltrated a Criminal Prosecutor’s Office in Campinas to gain access to internal systems, databases and confidential information.
From this access, the The suspect allegedly identified members of the criminal organization with high economic power and began demanding money in exchange for supposed protection against investigations.
The Public Ministry states that the extortions would have had the help of other public agents and there is evidence that part of the actions were carried out using the internet connection of a law firm.
Former investigator expelled from the Civil Police
Another person arrested in the operation was a former Civil Police investigator. According to the Public Ministry, he was expelled from the corporation years ago after involvement in a case of extortion through kidnapping.
Investigations indicate that he had helped the former intern of the Public Ministry in obtaining and using privileged information to identify members of the criminal organization with high economic power.
According to Gaeco, the former investigator is part of the group suspected of participating in the extortion carried out against members of the faction in exchange for supposed protection against investigations.
Criminal police are also investigated
Investigations by the Public Prosecutor’s Office also point to the participation of a criminal police officer in the scheme. According to Gaeco, he helped the former intern obtain information used to identify members of the criminal organization with high economic power.
The police officer is cited in the investigations, but has not been named among the targets of the temporary arrest warrants released to date.
Plan against prosecutor motivated investigations
A Operation Infiltrators emerged from discoveries made during Operation Pronta Response, launched in August 2025.
At the time, the Public Ministry was investigating a criminal organization linked to the suspect of planning an attempt on the life of prosecutor Amauri Silveira Filho.
As investigations progressed, the investigators identified possible information leaks, cases of corruption and the actions of public agents which, in theory, would have favored members of the faction.
According to the Public Ministry, the This Tuesday’s operation also seeks to investigate a possible strategy of the criminal organization to infiltrate collaborators in institutions responsible for combating organized crime.
The Operation had the support of Internal Affairs of the Civil Police and Criminal Police, as well as the OAB Prerogatives Commissionspecifically for law firm searches, in addition to the 1st BAEP and Gaeco.
