“We will beat Messi”: Algeria’s promise provokes and sends a message

Ibrahim Maza, a 20-year-old Algerian player, exuded confidence as he scored a victory for his country against Argentina, in the first round of the . The Bayer Leverkusen athlete also mentioned.

“We will beat Messi. God willing. We need to have a good World Cup, and the first game against Argentina is very important”, declared the young player, who is one of the hopes of the Algerian team.

Furthermore, Maza was also asked about the danger of the Argentines’ provocations and how this could influence the African team’s performance.

“They provoke a lot, but we need to come in with desire, keeping our head on straight throughout the match,” he said.

Maza made 44 appearances in total for Bayer Leverkussen. He scored five goals and distributed six assists.
