The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) denied this Tuesday (9) the request for freedom from influencer and lawyer Deolane Bezerra, linked to the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) on May 21st.
Ministers Ribeiro Dantas, Joel Ilan Paciornik, Maria Marluce Caldas and Messod Azulay Neto, from the Fifth Panel of the STJ, stated that the case requires a deeper analysis and requested “speed” from the São Paulo Court of Justice (TJSP) so that the process goes more quickly.
The STJ’s understanding was that the TJSP’s preliminary decision, of keeping Deolane imprisoned, it must continue to be valid, since those have not yet been analyzed.
The rapporteur of the case at the Superior Court, Minister Ribeiro Dantas, stated that There is no illegality in the decision of the São Paulo court, which would justify an “early statement” from the STJ on the topic.

Deolane Bezerra was arrested on the morning of May 21st during the Operation Vernixlaunched by the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MP-SP) and the Civil Police to investigate a money laundering scheme linked to the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC). The information was confirmed by Young Pan.
According to the investigation, Deolane would have received funds from the faction through a transport company identified as the financial arm of the criminal organization.
The operation was conducted by the Central Judicial Police of Presidente Venceslau and the Special Action Group to Combat Organized Crime (GAECO) of Presidente Prudente.
In addition to Deolane, Young Pan found that other targets of the operation are Marco Herbas Camacho, the Marcolahead of the PCC; Alejandro CamachoMarcola’s brother; Paloma Sanches Herbas Camachoniece of the criminal; Leonardo Alexsander Ribeiro Herbas Camachoalso nephew; and Everton de Souzaidentified as the financial operator of the criminal organization.
In total, the Court issued six preventive arrest warrants on the day, in addition to search and seizure orders. Marcola and Alejandro are already imprisoned in the Federal Penitentiary of Brasília.
Preventive detention
On the same day 21, Deolane’s arrest was converted into preventive arrest after a custody hearing at the Vara das Garantias, in Osasco, São Paulo. The information was reported by CNN Brasil and confirmed by Young Pan.
As communicated by the São Paulo Court of Justice (TJSP), the custody hearing checked if there were any irregularities in compliance with the arrest warrant issued against Deolane. The Court reported that none were identified. Therefore, the influencer was referred to the Santana Women’s Penitentiaryin the North Zone of the capital.
