“Fafá de Belém, the Musical“, a piece that celebrates 50 years of the singer’s career Fafá de Belém69, arrives in São Paulo next Friday (12). The production premieres its fourth season in the capital of São Paulo and will have sessions from Thursday to Sunday at Teatro Claro+.
The production exalts the singer’s trajectory and mixes ecology and memory, with a story built on three planes: the present, set during the recording of a documentary celebrating 50 years of her career, childhood memories and the construction of her professional career over the years.
The narrative begins in , the singer’s home territory, and tells the story through indigenous, riverside and Marajoara mythology.
Fafá de is played by three actresses, in each stage of the show: the Fafá-menina stage is divided between Laura Saab (granddaughter of the honoree) and Clarah Passos; the Fafá-singer phase is experienced by Helga Nemetik; and the representation of Fafá de Belém today is the responsibility of Lucinha Lins.
The project is presented by the Ministry of Culture and Petrobras, carried out by the Federal Government and Charge Produções, through the Federal Culture Incentive Law. The musical script and text are written by Eduardo Rieche and Gustavo Gasparani, who also assumes the artistic direction.
