In a serious traffic accident on the D1 highway near Liptovský Mikuláš, the driver suffered injuries on Wednesday (June 10) in the evening hours, from which she died on the spot. The passenger suffered injuries requiring transportation to the hospital. The Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Žilina informed about it on the social network.
“The driver of a Škoda Superb passenger car driving on the highway in the direction from Liptovský Mikuláš to Poprad crashed into the barriers on the right side of the road for reasons that have not yet been determined,” the police specified that an expert from the road transport department was called to the scene of the accident. Other circumstances, as well as the cause of this tragic traffic accident, are under investigation.
