The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) maintained its forecast for global Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in 2026 at 3.1%, according to a monthly report released this Thursday, 11th. For 2027, the projection for the advancement of the world economy was also unchanged, at 3.2%.
In the case of US GDP, OPEC continues to forecast increases of 2.2% in 2026 and 2.0% in 2027.
For the euro zone, the group reduced its growth estimate in 2026, from 1.1% to 1.0%, but maintained its projection of 1.2% for 2027.
For China, in turn, OPEC reaffirmed its growth projections, of 4.6% in 2026 and 4.5% in 2027.
