Vienna – The Neustart association sees the announced cuts in probation services as a threat to security. According to managing director Alfred Kohlberger, 12,600 people are already being cared for, but “only 11,500 are being financed”. The funds are now to be reduced by around 2.4 million euros compared to 2026. As a result of salary valorization, we are faced with a financing gap of 3.3 million euros in 2027 and 4.9 million in the following year.
