Ukrainian intelligence has obtained secret documents. President Zelenskyi expects growing discontent in Russia

President Zelenskyy claims that Ukraine obtained documents intended for Putin, which predict the growing dissatisfaction of Russians and pressure on the Kremlin before the elections.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on Sunday that the country’s intelligence services have submitted a report on the assessment of the domestic situation in Russia and at the same time allegedly obtained documents intended for Russian President Vladimir Putin. TASR informs about it based on the report of the Ukrainian leader on the X platform.

“(According to the documents), the so-called prognostic indicators of Russian dissatisfaction with Putin will continue to grow steadily, and he is already preparing to accept the idea that this growing dissatisfaction cannot be stopped and that this indicator will not stabilize until September, when parliamentary elections are scheduled in Russia,” Zelenskyy said.

Growing discontent in Russia

The Ukrainian president also claims that the documents indicate a drop in support for the ruling party and an increase in the number of demonstrations in Russian regions. “The pressure on Russia for war will increase, and not only from our side. The internal situation in Russia should convince (Putin) that peace is necessary. Ukraine proposes to negotiate a dignified peace. It is clear that the trends will not change, and over time this may mean that an agreement will have to be reached with someone else from Russia,” he concluded.

Intensive international negotiations

Zelenskyi said on Saturday that intensive negotiations with partner states at several summits at the highest level are planned in the coming weeks. According to the president, the talks will focus on new sanctions against Russia, increased support for Ukraine, and especially on air defense and long-range weapons.
