London (APA / Reuters) – The BBC wants to cut hundreds of jobs in its newsroom, according to a newspaper report. This is the first step in a comprehensive workforce reduction at the British broadcasting group, the Financial Times reported on Monday, citing insiders. The measures should therefore be announced next week. The channel’s departments were ordered to cut their costs by about a tenth. In total, around 2,000 jobs are likely to be lost.
