Classifying the advance as “important progress”, the chancellor stated that the agreement “provides much-needed confidence and stability to global markets and the world economy, especially for developing countries most vulnerable to regional instability”.
In the post, Dar also thanked Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, naming the countries among those who offered “sincere diplomatic support and efforts” to reach this “important milestone.”

“The agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to everyone!”, declared Trump in a post on the Truth Social platform.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shebaz Shariff also confirmed that “after intense negotiations”, the US-Iran peace agreement was reached. According to Shariff, the agreement should be signed next Friday, in an official ceremony.
The secretariat of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, regarding the end-of-war agreement, stated that Tehran “under the guidance of its martyred leader, consolidated its superiority in the face of the American-Zionist enemy.”
In a statement released on Sunday night, the Iranian government stated that “the text of a memorandum of understanding on negotiations to end the war” had been finalized.
“In accordance with the understandings reached, the war and military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will be brought to an immediate and permanent end from tonight. Furthermore, the naval blockade against Iran will be lifted immediately and completely,” Iran said in a statement.
Tehran also claims that the document will be signed next Friday and welcomes the efforts of Pakistan and Qatar to mediate the negotiations.
