After being removed from the majority ticket of Governor Celina Leão (PP), the group intends to start conversations with other parties from this week to decide who they will support in the elections for the Government of .
One wing of the party even defends the launch of its own candidacy to give space to the former governor, pre-candidate for the Senate. The name of federal deputy Rafael Prudente (MDB) is the most popular.
This current says that it is necessary to negotiate with other subtitles. Behind the scenes, Prudente says that he only emerges as a candidate in a broader alliance. But centrist parties, such as PSD and Republicans, support the current governor.
Even so, the MDB wants to negotiate. Some members do not even rule out articulating with the left to guarantee a space in the Senate.
The party’s irritation with the current governor exists because, according to members of the party, one of the vacancies would be his. But currently Celina’s ticket has two names in the Senate: Bia Kicis.
Behind the scenes, the governor has said that she wants to join the party. But at the same time he does not want to discard the PL’s support.
After a split in the local MDB, the party decided to create a group with members from various currents that will decide the direction of the party in these elections.
