Text of provisional agreement with Iran should be released after Friday, says Trump

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, stated this Monday (15) that the text of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran will be publicly released, probably after the formal signing ceremony scheduled for this Friday (19).

Asked when the agreement would be released in a bilateral meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Trump said: “I think very soon. I would say — I mean, I want it to be released because it’s a very powerful document.”

“This is a very powerful document and I want it to be released. So, probably very soon. I would say after Friday,” he said.

Pakistan’s foreign minister said the formal signing ceremony of the agreement will take place in the Swiss city of Geneva.

Trump is in Europe for the G7 summit. However, when asked if he would be at the signing event, he suggested that he would not, explaining that Vice President JD Vance was already scheduled to attend.
