The court decided on the fate of Kramár’s son: He received such a punishment for drunken driving! If he doesn’t do one thing, he will go behind bars

Maroš Kramár’s younger son recognized his punishment for driving under the influence of alcohol in February. The district court in Pezinok issued a criminal order, which found Marko (18) guilty. The newspaper brought the information. The verdict was handed down four months after the accident, in which the then only 17-year-old got behind the wheel without a driver’s license and his breath was measured at 1.27 per thousand.

“OS Pezinok, by a criminal order dated 01/06/2026, recognized the accused MK as guilty of endangerment under the influence of an addictive substance according to § 289 of the Criminal Code and for this he imposed a fine of 1,500 euros,” said Pavol Adamčiak, the spokesman of the Bratislava Regional Court, and described what would happen if he did not pay.

In the event that the execution of the fine was intentionally thwarted, the court determined an alternative prison sentence of 2 months. At the same time, he was sentenced to a ban on driving motor vehicles of any kind for a period of 18 months.” added Adamčiak.

He also emphasized that the criminal order is not yet final, at this time the document is traveling to the litigants. Only on the day of delivery will the eight-day period for filing an objection begin. “If the authorized person filed an objection against the criminal order within the statutory period, the single judge will order a main hearing in the case; when hearing the case at the main hearing, the single judge is not bound by legal qualification or the type and amount of punishment, or the statement about protective measures contained in the criminal order,” explained the spokesperson.

The prosecutor could present an indictment at the main hearing that would overturn the criminal order. If this does not happen, the current verdict will become valid and enforceable. Marko could have turned out much worse. “If proven guilty before the court, the accused faces a prison sentence of up to one year,” Bratislava regional police spokeswoman Silvia Šimková told Koktejl.sk back in April.

Both parents stood behind the young man the whole time. Maroš Kramár no longer wants to comment on his son’s misstep. Marko’s mother, lawyer Nataša Nikitinová, was also tight-lipped. “As the matter is not legally concluded, we will not comment on the individual steps. Thank you for your understanding and respect for privacy,“she responded briefly to the Slovak daily.
