In the depths of space there are many curiosities that only gradually reveal their secrets. When the Subaru telescope on the summit of the Hawaiian volcano Mauna Kea recorded a striking point of light near the sun-like star Gliese 504 in 2011, it was easy to suspect that it could be a planet. In 2012 it was confirmed that the dot actually moved, as a planet should.
