Bern – Switzerland wants to ban Nazi symbols in public. The government in Bern said on Friday that Nazi symbols stood for an “inhumane ideology that contradicts the basic values of a free, democratic society.” The draft law provides for a ban on Nazi symbols, gestures, greetings, flags, slogans and tattoos in public. Violations result in a fine of 200 Swiss francs (around 216 euros).
