Payment arrives on July 8th
The main date for retirees is July 8th. In 2026, the 8th falls on a Wednesday, so there should be no change due to weekends or holidays. Payment can be made by bank transfer or postal order, depending on the option associated with the beneficiary. For those who receive it by transfer, the amount must be available in the bank account throughout the day.
Holiday allowance comes with it
July is one of the two months of the year in which retirees receive an increased amount. The holiday bonus is paid together with the July pension, on the same date and without the need for an additional request. In practice, anyone who receives a monthly pension now receives the equivalent of two months of retirement. The other month with a similar reinforcement is December, when the Christmas bonus is paid.
How much can go into the account
The amount always depends on each beneficiary’s monthly pension. According to Ekonomista, a pensioner with a minimum pension of 357.80 euros, the amount applicable to contributory careers between 15 and 20 years, will receive 715.60 euros in July. Anyone who has been contributing for 31 years or more and receives a minimum pension of R$493.52 must receive at least R$987.04 that month. These values result from the sum of the monthly pension and the respective vacation bonus.

CSI is also paid on that day
The Solidarity Supplement for the Elderly will also be paid on July 8th. This support is aimed at elderly people with reduced income and is granted subject to verification of resource conditions. According to Ekonomista, in 2026 the minimum age for access to the CSI follows the normal old-age pension age, set at 66 years and nine months. In the case of an isolated person, the monthly income limit considered is R$214.85. For couples, the indicated limit is 322.27 euros.
How to confirm payment
The quickest way to check whether the payment has been processed is through Social Security Direct. On the platform, it is possible to consult payment history, confirm processed installments, check bank details and monitor information about your contribution career. If the amount does not appear in the account on the expected day, the first step should be to confirm that the registered IBAN is correct. An incorrect or outdated IBAN is one of the most common causes for payments not being credited.
What to do if there is a delay
If the bank details are correct and the payment does not appear by the end of the scheduled business day, the beneficiary must contact Social Security. You can do this via the helpline, via a message at Previdência Direta or through in-person assistance. Before that, it is good to confirm that the payment was not issued by postal order, in cases where this modality is still active. It is also important to check if there have been any recent changes to personal, banking or benefit status.
A reinforcement that requires planning
July’s enhanced payment may bring some relief, but it also comes at a time when many families have more expenses. Vacations, travel, supporting children or grandchildren, and seasonal expenses can quickly absorb the extra amount. Therefore, knowing the date and expected value helps you plan the month better. According to Ekonomista, the payment of pensions for July 2026 will be made on July 8, with the holiday bonus included, making this one of the most important dates in the pensioners’ annual calendar.
