New equipment should guarantee radiotherapy treatments for cancer patients at Santa Marcelina Hospital
The president (PT) will deliver this Tuesday (June 23, 2026) a high-technology linear accelerator to , in São Paulo (SP). The Minister of Health, , will also be present at the ceremony.
According to , the new equipment should guarantee faster and more accessible radiotherapy treatments for cancer patients at Hospital Santa Marcelina, in the east of the city. The unit is a reference in highly complex services in the region.
Simultaneously, two more pieces of equipment will be delivered to expand and improve cancer treatment in Brazil. The cities covered are Fortaleza (CE) and Sinop (MT).
The deliveries are part of the Agora Tem Especialistas Program, which seeks to reduce waiting times in the Unified Health System.
