An amendment to the energy certificate template law recently passed by the National Council will come into force on July 1, 2026. From this date onwards, an energy certificate will have to be presented not only when renting or selling a property, but also when extending a rental agreement. Specifically, the change “applies to sales and inventory advertisements that are published from this point in time and to purchase or inventory contracts that are concluded from this point in time, as well as to inventory contracts that are extended from this point in time,” it says in the text of the law. The changes were announced in the Federal Law Gazette on June 10th.
