The rolling cars and trucks gave way to people walking, the otherwise loud engine and rolling noise was exchanged for loud demonstrators. There is always something going on at the Tyrolean Brenner. During the most recent blockade at the end of May, the population and regional politicians expressed their dissatisfaction with the traffic burden. Since then, everyday life has been rushing along on the highway again. That means: twelve million cars and almost 2.4 million heavy trucks every year.
