The brutal heat in eastern Austria, but especially in Vienna, raises several questions. First: Is anyone in city, state and federal politics thinking a bit about whether we could, um, discourage combustion engine private transport a bit? Yes, it’s holiday travel time, but if you’re standing in the exhaust gas hell on the Vienna Belt at 37 degrees, such thoughts come to mind.
