(PSDB), pre-candidate for the government of Ceará, stated this Thursday (25) that he did not watch the video of (), in which between the former first lady and the senator (PL-RJ).
“I swear I didn’t see the video. And I won’t,” said Ciro. “This is a national PL issue and involves much more complex things than our parish here”, he added when questioned by journalists at PEC Brasil, an agribusiness event, in Fortaleza.
Former governor said he moved away from national politics, which has its own dynamics. “If we are going to recover my participation in national politics, it is extremely embarrassing from two sides. So, it is not possible for me to deal with this issue. Therefore, I only respect the problem of the PL. The PL will solve it from there”, he declared.
Michelle exposed friction with Flávio in a 27-minute video on social media. She reported that she was mistreated and humiliated by her stepson on the phone after a speech, in November 2025, in which she criticized the Ceará PL alliance with Ciro Gomes for the elections.
Former first lady supports Eduardo Girão (Novo)’s pre-candidacy for state government. In the video, she mentions attacks and insults by Ciro Gomes on and against the former president’s children, attributes her husband’s ineligibility to him and states that the pre-candidate will never have her support. “I could not remain silent in the face of an alliance with Ciro Gomes in the first round while we have a truly right-wing candidate,” he stated.
“I’m not demanding that any alliance in Ceará be broken up,” said Michelle. In the video, she defends that the PL’s partnership with Ciro’s group be postponed until a possible second round for reasons of “ideological coherence”.
There is also an impasse over Senate vacancies. Ceará state deputy Alcides Fernandes (PL) is a PL pre-candidate. He is the father of deputy Frederal André Fernandes, who heads the party in the state. In the video, Michelle criticizes the candidacy and says that Fortaleza councilor Priscila Costa (PL) was the name initially agreed upon by Bolsonaro for the dispute.
