The president said that the federal government tried to establish a partnership with Santa Catarina for a R$24 billion infrastructure project. According to Lula, Mello “did not participate so as not to form a partnership with the federal government”.
In a video, the governor stated that the investment “never offered” to the State.
“Lula every time he comes here, he doesn’t deliver anything. He just comes to talk bad about us. So far so good. The problem is that they lie through their teeth. They never offered us this investment”he declared.
Mello said that Lula was referring to the state highway concession project.
