The traditional Boliqueime Popular Festivals take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of July, bringing together street entertainment, popular music and regional cuisine in Largo do Adro da Igreja Paroquial.
With free entry, the event begins on Friday, July 3rd, at 8pm, and continues on Saturday and Sunday, from 7pm, with a program designed to involve residents, visitors and the parish communities.
Popular music livens up three days of celebration
The opening of the parties, on Friday, will be in charge of João Paulo Cavaco and the Tokisom group. On Saturday, July 4th, Ruben Filipe and Duo 64 take the stage.

The festivities end on Sunday, July 5th, with performances by Emanuel and Tânia and Nelson Santos, in a night dedicated to popular music and community life.
Communities provide traditional taverns and snacks
The Popular Festivals of Boliqueime involve the participation of several local groups, responsible for the taverns serving traditional snacks and drinks.
The Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Boliqueime, the Boliqueime Sports Club, the Scout Group 1174, the Boliqueime Cultural Association, the Boliqueime Workers Association and the Maritenda Sports Group are involved.

For the president of , Nelson Brazão, “the Popular Festivals represent an essential and representative event for the preservation of our cultural identity”.
The mayor also emphasizes that “the direct involvement of associations and communities demonstrates the vitality and spirit of cooperation that so characterize the town of Boliqueime.”
