Government launches AI platform to search for public data – 06/29/2026 – Panel

The (Comptroller General of the Union) launches this Tuesday (30) .BR, a platform that will focus the search for federal public information. The tool uses to find data available on different government websites.

With the change, the “Access to Information” link on federal agency websites now directs to the new system.

It will bring together scattered content, the Brazilian Open Data Portal, federal agency websites and responses already granted based on the Access to Information Law (LAI).

The promise is to facilitate and reduce the need for new access requests.

According to the government, the idea is that the search is carried out as simply as a conversation with an internet search engine. The system will then present a summary of the available information.

If the content is not found, the system allows you to register and monitor a new request for access to information. , however, continues as the official channel for ombudsman demonstrations.

According to the CGU minister, Vinicius Marques de Carvalho, the initiative is part of the commitment to increase transparency in public administration.

“Informa.BR brings together data that is currently dispersed across different platforms, simplifies access for the population, expands the possibilities for social control, reinforces democracy and increases society’s trust in public institutions,” he said.
