A baby was rescued alive last Saturday, after remaining for around 72 hours under the rubble caused by the strong earthquakes that hit Venezuela.
The child was located by a North American search and rescue team, in a rescue that is being described as a true miracle. Images of the moment show the baby being removed from the wreckage and quickly handed over to rescuers.
The US State Department shared the video on social media, accompanied by the message: “Against impossible odds, hope endures.”
