MST will hold meeting to discuss mobilizations and relationship with Lula government – 01/19/2025 – Panel

The national coordination of the (Landless Rural Workers Movement) will meet this week to discuss topics such as action planning for 2025 and the relationship with the government ().

“There is a concern within the MST that progress has not been made in the last two years, in addition to an expectation that this year President Lula will be able to move forward with this agenda”, says João Paulo Rodrigues, national coordinator of the MST.

The meetings will be in Belém, Pará, throughout the week. The UN Climate Change Conference, which takes place in the capital of Pará in November, will also be a topic of debate.
