Mouse hunt in the Algarve: Infestation arrives at this school's kitchen and parents are worried

It was over the last week that a rats infestation at Professor Sebastião José Pires Teixeira Elementary School in Salir, in the municipality of Loulé, Algarve, began to worry the parents’ parents. It all began when the guardians of some students were informed that they would have to go to school until lunchtime, as the meal would not be served by a dishure in the kitchen.

Although parents were concerned about the information, shortly thereafter was published one on the Padre João Cabanita School Grouping page, where it is read that the direction “informs that the refectory of this establishment [Escola Básica Sebastião Teixeira] It will be the subject of an urgent and unexpected intervention, with a predictable duration of five days. ”

Anyway, through the same statement, the direction ensures that “ Meals are assured, and no embarrassment in the operation of the service for the students. ” Still, the menu will be changed in the coming days, continuing to be “considered all usual students’ usual restrictions and food”.

The concern began after a public health team detected traces of rats in the cuisine of Sebastião Teixeira Basic School. It was this same team who determined that cleaning and disinfection were carried out.

However, students in charge of education have also spoken to the school gates, where they were accompanied by posters with protest messages. “Without conditions there is no confidence,” reads one of the cards. Another poster states that “security at school is a right, not a luxury.”
