This Tuesday (12) approved a draft resolution that readjusts councilors’ salaries by 37% from February 2025. Currently, they receive R$18,991 in gross values. From 2025 onwards, they will earn R$26,080.
The last adjustment approved in plenary by councilors took place in December 2016.
In a note, the presidency of the House states that the approved adjustment “was well below the accumulated inflation from January 2017 to October 2024, which is 47.34%” and “respects the ceiling provided for in the constitution, which is 75% of the state deputies’ allowance”.
