Os smartphones iPhone 1616 Plus, 16 Pro e 16 Pro Max, da Applewere officially launched in Brazil, but despite the new advanced features, many Brazilian consumers were not satisfied with the prices.
Prices vary depending on the model and storage capacity:
- iPhone 16 It starts at R$7,599, but can reach up to R$10,099;
- iPhone 16 Plus has values between R$8,599 and R$11,799;
- iPhone 16 Pro starts at R$9,499 and goes up to R$13,199; and
- iPhone 16 Pro Max It costs between R$10,999 and R$15,499.
The truth is that not everyone can pay so much for a product, but still, there are those who want to have a new smartphone without spending so much.
To meet this demand, some companies offer rental plans for the iPhone 16. And this could be an option for those who want to test the smartphone or use it for a limited period, without the need to buy and pay thousands of reais for it.
iPhone 16 available in Brazil
Apple launched the new models in September 2024 — in addition to the four devices, the brand announced the Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 2 and AirPods 4.
One of the devices’ biggest differences is the brand’s new generative artificial intelligence (AGI), called , which allows users to perform real-time translations, generate texts and images, perform searches, among other features.
All devices are equipped with the Apple A18 processor, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, IP68 water and dust resistance certification, operating system and internal storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB.
The traditional model has a 6.1-inch screen, the Plus has a 6.7-inch screen, the Pro has a 6.3-inch screen, and the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen.
As for cameras, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have 48 MP and 12 MP rear cameras, while the Pro and Pro Max versions are equipped with two 48 MP lenses and a 12 MP sensor. All models offer a 12 MP front camera.
How to rent the iPhone 16?
For now, at least two companies already offer the option of renting an iPhone 16 to Brazilian consumers: iPlace and Allugator.
The rental option can be advantageous for those who want to test the device for a few months, but it is certainly not more economical if you intend to keep the cell phone for a long time.
At iPlace, specific rental values for each model are not provided, only that monthly payments start at 21 monthly payments of R$229.
At the Allugator store, the iPhone 16 is available in installments of R$349.92 (12 installments), R$629.85 (six installments) and R$699.84 (three installments). In other words, if you want to rent the device for just three months, you will pay a total of R$2100.
At Allugator, you can also rent the 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max models:

- Six-month rental: up to six installments of R$779.85;
