STF now begins opening ceremony of the Judiciary year; watch

The STF (Supreme Federal Court) began the opening ceremony of the 2026 Judiciary year at around 2:20 pm this Monday (2). The ceremony marks the official resumption of the Court’s activities after the year-end recess, which interrupted trials and deadlines for just over a month.

The event takes place in the plenary of the Supreme Court and is of a protocol nature. Traditionally, the ceremony brings together authorities from the Three Powers and representatives of institutions essential to the Justice system, symbolizing the beginning of the Judiciary’s work in the new year.
